Game Night 3

Tonight, the Gliders played Canada, and after a nail biting 40 minutes of basketball brilliance, they came second with a close score of 57 to 50!

Tomorrow night we meet Netherlands .... Can't wait! The girls are looking good ... And the cheer squad has some vocal strength left .... Bring it on!

Game Day 3

Greetings y'all,

Mickey here.

Mum has taken a voluntary hiatus post me-telling-her-how-bland-her-blog-posts-are. As a result, I am your guide for today's entry.

The morning started with a workout sesh between Rose, Mezza and Lei Lei. In true 80s montage style, there was stretching, running, miscellaneous huffy-puffy, and air-punching. In true middle aged women logic, it was followed by eggs and carbs.

I sat there and made derisive comments, because I'm good like that.

The start of Game Two

The introductions at the start of Game Two. You will notice Bridie on the big screen above.
The girls went on to beat Great Britain 51-24. The crowds were great, and despite the stadium being predominantly filled with Brits, the Aussies made their presence felt!

Getting ready for the second game!

What an attractive group!
This snap is taken in Russell Square Park. As you can see it was a beautiful day! Rose and I went for a jog prior (with squirrels running across the oath in front of us...how cute).
Members of the group from left to right: Michael, Rose, Mary, Patrick, Fiona, Abby, Steve, Ben and Jane. We are all staying together in two great apartments just a stones throw from where we were sitting.

Game Two!

Aussies defeated Great Britain convincingly!
Off for a celebratory drink. details to follow!
